It's part of the Hallmark Hall of Fame series. Set and filmed in Australia with Australien actresses but US release. Nominated for a Primetime Emmy. Novel (Thunderwith, 1989) by Libby Hathorn. According to trailers and pics I assume few or medium bib scenes, but have to check. Hewett was 17 in 1998 and Lara is 14 ys in the novel. Also not sure about the year. Could be 1980s or even much earlier. No trailers or clips at Youtube to embed.
