There are only 2 more videos in this series (I haven't checked them) but more other (32) volumes of Disney Sing Along Songs (1986-2006), but not with her. Maybe also others (boys) in bibs or shortalls there as well? Who can help here?

I don't have the time to check them all. I wonder why I haven't found them earlier.

Currently on YouTube (in quite bad quality).

I only noticed 2 brief scenes. First at the beginning sitting on the toilet and also a bit later the bib of his bibs down. Rare red inside. Bib at low position.

Update 2: Kidsong TV Show

I found a short clip of the Kidsongs TV DVDs on the official site showing this girl. First I wasn't sure about her name but she's Tiffany Burton introducing herself. Aka Tiffany (Burton) Rojas, born 1989.

Not sure if the checkered clothes are bibs, shortalls, or dress, a vest or whatever. And I haven't seen her completetly just this headshot sitting behind the table.

I don't now/don't remember what episode this comes from. I think she appeared in several episodes and maybe clips from the Kidsongs video series as well.

And I even now found another, new musical series with her in shortalls and at least one more girl in bibslike dress (coming soon).

Update 2: Die Camper

One young girl in the yellow shirt in maybe light blue, longer shortalls and a brown belt in yesterday's s3e7 but very brief scene at the end. Not sure if really shortalls. Could be just jeans shorts and different top. Straps are very thin and the back part is also very high.

I think I have seen another kid 2 or 3 weeks earlier so around 5 episodes earlier maybe s3e1 or s3e2? But very brief scene and in the background as well. Don't remember if boy or girl (more likely a young girl). I often miss some parts at the beginning.

Very brief scene, so rating 3-4 only.

Book 58: Oswald J. Smith: The Adventures of Andy McGinnis

I recently bought this 1945 Christian children's book in German translation. One other German cover showing a boy in bibs riding a bull (similar to the US cover). My 70s paperback edition have several b&w illustrations by Walter Rieck showing a boy with dark curls in bibs. Unfortunately no mentionings of bibs. 94 pages. Already completely read but I forgot almost everything.

The setting is in Smith's childhood, so around 1900 and is about a tall farm boy from Ontario who went to school barefooted with a crow (I have seen pics with that on other book covers). He's 10 yo at the beginning, 15 in the middle and 16 at the end and has a brother two years younger. One of his older sisters died when he was 15.

I think a typical adventure book for it's time with robbers, some drama and religious contents. Not bad but I hoped for more.

At least there's a list of other Christian books in it from this German publisher. Maybe more luck there.

Very good song. But I don't like "older" men.

Some quite good scenes like catching the women. But as usual, clips are very short. There's a promo clip which is a bit longer.

I think I have to give rating 4.

The baggy bibs and the ladies are good. Will soon be updated, maybe now rating ~5.

I don't know the complete movie. Based on the bestselling 1977 novel by Howard Fast. Directed by Alan J. Levi, also starring Roddy McDowall. 240 minutes mini series. Nominated for a Golden Globe.

Starring Shane Sinutko (LHOTP) as other grandson (decades later) and Ari Macht (maybe the boy pictured ?)

Set in San Francisco. Not sure about the year of the scene pictured. I guess it's in the earlier years. Set in 1900, 1906, 1929 and maybe later  (earlier no cars but horses, old clothes and props).

Rating 5-6 for now. Movie itself maybe even higher. But I assume rather few bibs scenes. I think not officially on DVD nor VHS.

I have announced this on "La Storia (1986)", another great movie directed by Luigi Comencini (I'm still looking for my unknown movie). Another young boy in shortalls there (rating 2).

I don't know the complete movie. But he's too young anyway. English title: "Bread, Love and Jealousy", starring Gina Lollobrigida.

So rating 2 for now only.

Books 57: several

I searched for some new books. First I thought of "The New Sugar Creek Gang" but that's probbaly too modern and I don't assume bibs scenes there. Then I thought of more books of the Sugar Creek Gang. I own some. But most others don't have bibs scenes. Best remaining ones are mabye "The Blue Cow" and The Green Tent (including a woman).

I checked the original Publisher (Moody Youth Library) and found some other interesting books and authors. I bought one Christian children's book including illustrations of a boy in bibs (1900s farm setting, barefoot) but I have to read more and it's too ealy for a post (coming soon).

Some other I found (mainly girls):

Elizabeth Enright: Thimble Summer (9 yo girl) some few mentionings + cover

Rolf Ulrici: Diane aus dem Försterhaus (1960s or earlier. Girl on cover. Unknown if mentionings)

Hildegard Krug: So was kann jedem passieren! (1970s or earlier, boy in bibs on cover. Unknown if mentionings)

I also have to check Enid Blytons's Famous Five and related books (bibs in the series, boys, girls).

The problem on old books, that you often can't look inside on Amazon or Google. So it's always a risk. Often depictured on the cover and no parts or illustrations inside.

On TV: Ein ganzer Kerl für Mama

May 23th on German's Sat.1 Emotions.

Martin Stührk (pictured in this 2002 movie), around 11 or 12 yo shirtless in blue maybe bibs or similar or maybe it's rather just a backpack ?

Several years ago I found a tiny pic with him, so I'm not sure if he really wore bibs.

Nevertheless probably an interesting movie. There's also a 13 or 14 yo film daughter (Karoline Teska), but probably not in bibs.

Unfortunately I can't receive that channel. I think it's not on DVD.

Gunsmoke (1955) s18e9

I missed the beginning and can't say much more about it.

The boys are very young. There are much better scenes and actors including jeans bibs in earlier (and later) episodes (rating up to 9).

Handsome blond boys and the traditional clothes and hay scenes reminds me of Kinderen voor Kinderen 12 (rating 8, boys+girls).

Obviously a very good setting and Dickens-like orphans plot. Aka Apestreken, English title Monkey Business. 1st Dutch 3D movie. Looks very interesting.

Rating 5-6 for bibs scenes for now.

Update: I have rechecked the complete movie. Rather few bibs scenes. 2 school scenes (from a distance) best scenes at the end.

Plot is interesting, living in Germany in the 1920s, 1950s and 1970s. But somwhow I don't like it. Most of the time a typical documentary with interviews of celebrities and footage scenes (mainly b&w, some colorizes, 70s mainly in color). Similar like the "Meine Kindheit..." series (see my sailor suit blog). Few good scenes.

Obviously again few and brief scenes. She's rather rarely shown and also wearing other clothes. Pic 2 is from a short trailer (maybe even derived from season 1).

This is an incomplete list of 1950s movies with famous child actor Oliver Grimm (*1948) in overalls. Mainly 1955-1957. He often wore plain dark blue bibs and blue, white/purple checkered bibs. Latter one with simple suspenders on the back only.

I haven't checked all movies. Some movies are b&w and I couldn't find clips for those ones. I recently have checked many parts of Wenn der Vater mit dem Sohne (1955), all pics are from this movie. There are also some boys in Lederhosen (soon on my other blog).

I found by coincidence pics of a girl long time ago but that was rather a dress. Yesterday, I did some more research and the first episode I checked was a success. I didn't had the time to check all episodes, yet. I bet that there are more good episodes and more actors. I also don't know their names. Who can help? Unfortunatley all clips of s1e2 on YouTube I found have a bad image quality.

In s1e2 there's a darkhaired woman in light blue/turqouise bibs and a red shirt. And an older teen boy/young men in red bibs. One black boy in orange bibs (2nd from left).

After posting a recently aired Gunsmoke episode with him and Ike Eisenmann (Western blog rating 6) I also found this one rather by coincidence. Josh Albee also starred in the western Jeremiah Johnson , rating 3.

Not bad, but rating 5-6 only, as this is a brief scene.

Bibs are good but the boy is too young. And I think few scenes also with the girl. 1989 novel by Joanna Trollope.

So rating 4-5 only (for both).

Tom Sawyer (Perimeter school stage play) and others

I found a short clip of a Tom Sawyer stage play from March 2015. Johns Creek, Georgia. Also took place in November 2015. From the official website (->Parents->drama).

The pics (outside scenes, daylight), green shirt and one strap loose looks even better.

Probably its's Huckleberry Finn (Colin Style) with the straw hat.

Another Italian movie and unfortunately again a very young boy. Starring Claudia Cardinale. This year is the 100th anniversary of Comencini. Another movie from him with another boy in shortalls also coming soon (b&w).

I think this might be (one of) my missing Italian movies. I haven't seen this complete movie (2h30) yet just very short clips and some pics. Probably I mixed up two different movies (but I had searched this as well).

Still searching for my unknown Italian movie (checking every Italian movie from ~1992 backwards, now reaching 1980, few years left), I found this one.

90% of the movie is set in a train (English title: Love in Fist Class, hence the title), I rather found few scenes with him. He's too young anyway. Maybe quite funny. For the sake of completion, maybe someone is interested in this.

196 episodes in 8 seasons, but I only havbe checked season 1, yet. Personally, I prefer Danny Pintauro. Does anybody know if he wore bibs as well? There are also many guest stars. I bet that there are more actors in bibs.

Not sure about the fabric of the bibs. Maybe not jeans and not corduroy but just cotton?

Correct title "Dziewczyna i chłopak" what means Girls and boys, 1961 novel by Hanna Ozogowska.

Interesting series, bibs aren't bad either but few scenes.

I found this several months ago during research for more Young Dragons / Kung Fu Kids movies (girls, boys, up to rating 5) but hesitated to post this as I had lots of suggestion and movies with younger actors. I think, I've seen it then on TV.
