Story 90: Bib at lower position

I wonder why there was a question about what that means. Maybe because I often call bib overalls just bibs for short.

Some examples.

I call them at low position when they are near or below the breasts/nipples. More can be found by a blog search.

High position

Very high position, so just below the neck is more rare. Below a scene from Close Encounters.

I think that very low positions are either due to fashion (girls, especially when shirtless) or when wearing overalls that are too small and often short and tight as well.

High position often occurs when a kid or teen wearing overalls designed for grown-ups (farm work 30s/40s).

I can't say much more unless I've seen some scenes. He also has a brother about the same age (but probably not in bibs).

I prefer older actors and US farm movies. I assume rather few (good scenes) though quite funny.

Update: Kidsongs 6

As announced in Kidsongs: Boppin' With the Biggles (rating 8) I found some few new scenes of girls.

First pic showing a farm girl boy in light blue bibs and a straw hat pulling a cow from "If We Could Talk To the Animals".Good farm scene. Unfortunately no more boys in bibs.

Pic 2 showing an older girl in red bibs (or probably shortalls) and a girl in peach colored confirmed shortalls from "Billys Birthday".

I think I have checked almost all episodes, not sure about the Kidsongs TV shows. The best is still Country-Sing-Along. One my most watched (or listened) DVD.

In the latest Episode of "Earth 2" the girl in the rare zip-off bibs is also riding. I have a pic, update coming soon.

Update: It's not a girl but Michael Lloyd, Jr. The song is from The Farmer in the Dell.

Had been aired yesterday (also from the "missing Felix list"). Unfortunately I missed some few parts at the beginning and end but I don't expect much more scenes of interest.

The movie is quite funny and there are also older handsome kids (including a blond boy with longer hair and one with dental braces, but not in bibs) but very young kids and few scenes in bibs.

So rating 2 for now only. (Movie a bit higher).

Update: Beyond Belief: Fact or Fiction s3e2

Finally I have made this pic of this episode after made a backup of my HD recorder.

A young girl around 7yo in blue bibs or shortalls. Uncredited on IMDb. I missed the beginning, so no better pics but I think there aren't any better pics of her by a quick recheck. Episode 30 (s3e11 in the US?) segment "Sleepwalker". There seems to be different episode # titeling (German ep # might be different, too # 21?, s3e2). s3e11 in Germany is s3e9 in the US.

She's very young and there are much better episodes also with a boy and older teen girls (rating 8).

Story 89: 1 or more actors and dancing in overalls

I don't know if I talked about it before. In most movies there is just one single actor or actress in overalls (except if you have large (farm) families like The Waltons. Often an outsider or other separated person like a tomboy or handicapped person and often not the most handsome actors who are wearing bibs. I wonder why. Same for most modern TV series.

A good idea is when 2 people both in overalls are dancing or doing other action close to each other.

Yesterday I watched again my Kidsongs DVD (Country-Sing-Along). There is a boy and girls in bibs/shortalls. But not together in one scene. There's also a good dancing scene with many boys and girls but just one boy in bibs.

2 friends both wearing bibs (one black and one white boy) in The Runaway 2000. But it's also quite rare and farm content anyway. Brother and sister in The Dinosaur Hunter and Papa's Angels.

Maybe a list or tags about dancing and multiple actors would be a great idea. But at least dancing can be found during a blog search.

Originally I made this for my Lederhosen blog. Scene at the beginning of the movie.

I can't say much more and don't remember much of it. I think set during WWII.

During research I found another similar looking movie also with boys in longer Lederhosen (probably no overalls) called "Kekec" (1951) and some sequels in the 60s.

No entries on my Lederhosen blog yet.

There are definitely better movies (at least involving overalls).

There is also a 1980 prequel called "La guerra de los ninos" and other movies 1981-1983 (in total 7 movies).
